Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions Answered

Honest answers to the questions we hear most often. If yours isn't here, just ask.

We believe transparency builds trust. Below you'll find straightforward answers about timelines, costs, and what to expect. No marketing fluff — just the truth.

⏱️ Process & Timeline

Honestly? 14-24 months for most professionals. Anyone promising faster is either cutting corners or setting you up for disappointment.

Here's the breakdown:

  • Credential evaluation (WES/NNAS): 3-6 months
  • English test preparation & results: 1-3 months
  • Express Entry profile & ITA wait: 2-6 months
  • PR application processing: 6-12 months

Your exact timeline depends on your profession, destination country, and how prepared your documents are when we start.

Express Entry is Canada's main system for skilled immigration. You create a profile, get a CRS score, and wait for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) when your score is high enough.

Provincial Nomination (PNP) is when a specific province (like Ontario, Alberta, or BC) nominates you because they need your skills. A nomination adds 600 points to your CRS score, virtually guaranteeing an ITA.

Most healthcare professionals and educators qualify for category-based draws or provincial nominations, which significantly speeds up the process.

Absolutely — and we recommend it. Most of our clients complete the entire preparation phase (credential evaluation, English tests, document gathering) while working full-time in Ghana.

You don't need to quit your job until you have your PR approval in hand. In fact, continuing to work adds to your experience points and makes your profile stronger.

💰 Costs & Fees

No hidden fees. Ever. Your quote includes everything we charge, and we'll also give you a complete breakdown of third-party costs you'll pay directly (like government fees, WES fees, and test registrations).

Typical total investment for Canada PR (including all fees):

  • NexaGH service fee: GHS 15,000 - 25,000 (depends on pathway complexity)
  • Credential evaluation (WES): ~$300 CAD
  • IELTS/OET test: ~$300-400 CAD
  • Government PR fees: ~$1,500 CAD per adult
  • Medical exam: ~$200-300 CAD
  • Police clearance: ~GHS 200

We provide a detailed cost breakdown during your free consultation so there are no surprises.

Yes. We understand this is a significant investment. We offer flexible payment plans tied to milestones in your application process.

Typically: 40% to begin, 30% at document submission, 30% at PR submission. We'll work with you to find an arrangement that makes sense for your situation.

Eligibility

This is fixable. Low English scores are one of the most common gaps we help close. Many clients need 2-3 attempts to hit their target score — this is normal.

For healthcare professionals, we often recommend OET (Occupational English Test) instead of IELTS. It's healthcare-specific and many nurses find it easier to score higher.

We can recommend test prep resources and strategies. Improving from IELTS 6.0 to 7.0 can add 40+ points to your CRS score.

It depends on your profession and experience. Nursing diplomas, for example, can still qualify for immigration — especially through provincial nomination programs that prioritize in-demand occupations.

Your work experience often matters more than your education level. We assess your complete profile during the free consultation to give you an honest answer.

Yes. PR applications typically include your spouse/partner and dependent children (under 22). They become permanent residents alongside you.

In fact, if your spouse has good English scores and work experience, they can add points to your application. We evaluate family profiles together to maximize your chances.

🏢 About NexaGH

NexaGH provides immigration consulting and preparation services. We help you understand pathways, prepare documents, and navigate the process.

For formal legal representation (required in some cases), we work with licensed immigration consultants (RCICs for Canada, MARAs for Australia) who handle the legal submission of your application.

This is clearly explained and included in our service — you're never left without proper representation.

Three things:

  • Honesty over sales: We tell you the real timeline (14-24 months, not 6). We tell you if your profile isn't ready. We'd rather lose a sale than set false expectations.
  • Transparent pricing: Every fee disclosed upfront. No surprise charges. What you're quoted is what you pay.
  • Dedicated advisor: You work with one person from start to finish. No call centres, no repeating your story to different staff.

94% of clients who complete our program receive PR.

That number is high because we're selective about who we take on. If your profile isn't competitive, we'll tell you during the free consultation — and explain exactly what you'd need to change.

We don't take money from people we don't believe can succeed. Our reputation depends on results, not signups.
